Uganda Atlas of Incubators, Accelerators and ESOs: Case of SIYEP Program

The African Agribusiness Incubators Network (AAIN) is a private sector organisation whose chief aim is to establish and empower incubators and accelerators to drive the creation of jobs and wealth in Africa. It provides agribusiness incubators and accelerators technical support at three key stages, pre-incubation, incubation and post-incubation, to ensure they are sustainable.
Established in 2013 and registered in 2015, AAIN is an Africa-led and African-owned network of agribusiness incubators, accelerators, enterprise support organisations and associates. Its membership includes individuals, business fi rms, corporate organisations, community-based organisations, development partners, universities, research institutes and off-takers that wish to establish incubation platforms or use the incubation model to deliver their value. AAIN also works with government agencies and regional economic bodies.
AAIN seeks to strengthen agribusiness incubation and acceleration by capacity-building, information sharing, the mobilisation of finances and improving market access for aspiring entrepreneurs, incubators and accelerators. The goal is to ensure entrepreneurs are provided with the necessary services and facilities to start, manage, and sustainably grow their enterprises.
AAIN builds the capacity of incubator leaders and managers by training them in financial, human resource, marketing, and strategic management.

BIM Accreditation Structure
The design, development, and execution of the technical support activities are clustered into three business incubation process activities, namely pre-incubation, incubation, and post incubation. AAIN‘s BIM accreditation is structured in three levels as follows;
Each incubation, acceleration or scaling program is built out of different modules that address the most important needs of the specific group of innovators or companies. The BIM trainings are conducted across the African continent, and are hosted by AAIN and its partners in those countries. Below is the BIM Calendar across the continent for 2023 and 2024.
