Deepening Regional Cooperation and Ecosystem Building for Social Economic Resilience in Africa
AAIN, represented by its CEO Prof. Alex, was privileged to be part of a regional cooperation, partnership, and collaboration meeting hosted by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The meeting convened key stakeholders committed to driving impactful initiatives, including Child Development and Transformation (CHADET) represented by their Executive Director Mr. Anannia Admassu. In attendance were Welthungerhilfe (WHH) Ethiopia national staff members; Ms. Naomi Berhanu Etana, Mr. Mesfin Degaga, and Ms. Sara Worku their Country Representative. The meeting explored common areas of leverage and upscaling in Africa, which included among others:
Adoption and integration of market driven skilling and agribusiness value chain development
Adoption and integration of business incubation and acceleration as a driver for projects sustainability, scale and impact creation targeting youth and women in Africa
Partners institutional capacity development and skilling in agribusiness incubation management and entrepreneurship mindset through staff training, exchange learning and accreditation
Adoption of the Learn As You Earn Model (LAYEM) in TVETs and Universities for transformative education and economic resilience among youth and women in Africa
Ecosystem mapping and innovations profiling for upscaling and alignment with new projects and opportunities in Ethiopia and Africa.
The meeting marks a significant step towards addressing pressing regional challenges, enhancing community resilience, and promoting inclusive growth. By leveraging each partner’s unique strengths and resources, the cooperation will drive impactful projects that will benefit communities across the continent.
